Loop festival is a contemporary event dedicated to video, film and new media. It takes place in Barcelona from May 29 to June 07, 2014. Most of Barcelona's museums are involved in the festival, presenting specific programs. At the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona, BIG BANG DATA explores the phenomenon of the information explosion we are currently experiencing. It will also be a platform for meeting and debating this highly topical theme, with workshops, hackathons, education programmes and meetups for local and international communities. The Frederic Marès Museum presents Re/trato, a looping video in which Oscar Muñoz shows how identity is ephemeral.
Joan Miró foundation joins Loop for the first time with an exploration of the interest of the modern movement and the avant-garde to expand and challenge the codes of representation through the experimentation with images.

From June 05 to 07, 2014, Loop Art Fair will be held at the Hotel Catalonia Ramblas. An original way to bring together journalists, gallerists and artists: each gallery has a room and you can watch the videos on a large bed or in a bath.
